About Our Curator

Taneise Marshall is the owner and curator of November First and a lifelong lover of creative expression. From singing in her childhood church’s traveling choir, to walking the runways of New York Fashion Week, to styling and decorating her home, her life has always been shaped by art in its many forms. She has explored creativity as a budding college photographer, an avid art collector, and a passionate supporter of independent makers.

November First, a space that brings everything she loves about creativity under one roof, is the natural culmination of that lifelong journey.

Taneise holds an MFA from Academy of Art University and a BS from Drexel University. She is also a dedicated community advocate and leader, serving in various roles at both the local and state levels.
